Ann Erin Clark has played with The Polyphonic Spree, and recently recorded a track for the TV show "Boardwalk Empire". She now releases her third album on 4AD. A limited edition white vinyl is available for orders. She aknowledges that most of the songs are about "wanting relief from the pain" and that the whole album is an "unsparing examination of a personal catharsis".
And indeed, departing from her previous album covers (featuring great portrait photography), this one seems more intimate as much as emotionally strong, the image suggesting frustration (or alternatively an hommage to Patrick Mc Goohan ;-)
The concept is from the artist herself, while the photography is from Tina Tyrell.
